Tourane Beachside Apartment – Cheap Da Nang apartment rental in the My An area

June 2, 2020 By James Clark

Apartment Review: Tourane Beachside Apartment, Da Nang - Vietnam

Guesthouse Name: Tourane Beachside Apartment.
Address: 31 An Thuong 3, My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang, Vietnam.

I stayed at Tourane Beachside Apartment in Da Nang, Vietnam. I booked online for the rate of 291,374 VND ($12.56 USD) and I picked it for its price and location near the beach. There is an overabundance of apartments available in Da Nang with no international tourists during this pandemic era. For those of us inside Vietnam, it’s presenting great deals for places to stay. In normal times Da Nang is a cheap place to stay, but even by normal standards this was an excellent deal.

Tourane Beachside Apartment is in My An Ward, which has become a popular beach area for expats and digital nomads in Da Nang. In particular, it’s the area around the An Thuong streets where this action is happening. An Thuong 3 is a short walk from the beach in a quiet and leafy street.

Tourane was the name of Da Nang during French colonial rule, and the apartment is in the beachside area of Da Nang.

An Thuong 3

I arrived in the daytime so there was someone at reception to help me check-in. This is something I like to check when booking apartments, as I have rented apartments in the past where I had to wait outside until the key holder arrived.

At night there is a security guard who stays in the lobby overnight, though I am not sure if they also give your keys if you were to arrive that late.

Reception

I got a studio apartment, though it was big enough to feel like a 1 bedroom apartment. If the dividing wall between the lounge and bed area was solid then it would be a 1 bedroom.

Apartment room

As it was though I liked this style, and this studio was twice the size of some other studios I have stayed in. The room had the air conditioner in the lounge area, which was sufficient enough to keep the whole room cool.

Room

It was a comfortable bed with plenty of space on either side. There was a work desk with a usable chair and desktop space. There is free wifi here, and there was a good connection in my room. The password was written in the room, though I should remember to check to see if it works when being checked in.

Bed

There is a kitchen if you are staying for longer and like to self-cater. I never use the kitchen, and I forgot to check if there was any cooking equipment such as pots and pans. There are supermarkets nearby if you want to cook for yourself.

Kitchen

A decent bathroom with a separate walk-in shower.

Bathroom

There was even a little laundry room with an outside window. This apartment would be good as a place to stay long term, and not just as a short-term aparthotel.

Laundry room

As for the location, it is one of my preferred areas to stay in Da Nang. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach, and there are lots of places to eat and cool cafes (such as 43 Factory).

You can book the Tourane Beachside Apartment online, or search for more hotels in Da Nang.
