Flight: Cathay Pacific CX 767
From: Hong Kong (HKG) To: Ho Chi Minh City (SGN)
I flew with Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong to Ho Chi Minh City, booking via airfare search site Vayama.
This flight was the last of three flights I took to get from Windhoek in Namibia back to Vietnam. The flight was provided by the Namibia Tourism Board as part of a press trip. As the flight was via Hong Kong I made a stopover before getting the flight to SGN.
I have flown with Cathay Pacific a few times now and they are becoming one of my preferred airlines. The combination of a good service, their hub at HKG, and the ability to earn points for my Qantas FF account make it an easy decision to book with them.
The aircraft was an A330 and as usual I checked in online and selected a window seat for this two hour flight.
Being the first of the month and the first flight of the day the inflight magazine and entertainment guide were in plastic wrappers.
Personal TV screens for every seat, though at two hours flying time there is not enough time to watch a movie.
At least you get the option of the air show.
For breakfast we were served lunch-pack style with two boxes: one box with the hot meal being an egg roll, and another box for the fruit drink, fruit, and a muffin.
Arrived at SGN on time, where I went to my hotel (and find out where to stay in Saigon).
