Hotel Review: Suite De Ville Hotel, Da Nang – Vietnam

March 5, 2019 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Suite De Ville Hotel, Da Nang - Vietnam

Hotel Name: Suite De Ville Hotel
Address: 16-17-18 Do Ba, My An ward, Ngu Hanh Son dist. My Khe beach, Da Nang, Vietnam.

I stayed at the Suite De Ville Da Nang Beach in Danang, Vietnam. I booked it online and picked it for its location in the My An area of Danang Beach. This is an emerging area that’s becoming popular with expats, and there are a good selection of hotels in this area. It feels a bit more like a neighbourhood compared to other parts of the beach. If you’re unfamiliar with Da Nang then save my guide on which area to stay in Danang.

The rate was 250,000 VND per night ($10.80 USD), which was an online special I found via Agoda. My last hotel I stayed at on Danang Beach was also a $10 special, so there are still lots of great deals to be found in Danang. It’s no wonder that Danang is emerging as a favourite place for Australians.

The hotel is on Do Ba Street, which at the time of my stay was half built. In a few years time this street will be lined with buildings as the construction boom in Danang continues.

Do Ba Street

The hotel appears new and it’s built in a typical style of budget hotels in Vietnam.

There is a big space in the reception area, and after a friendly check-in service I got the lift to my room.

I got a double room with a private bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked on command as it should. I had a window, but it was just a view of the next building. The hotel happens to be next to a night club, so you could hear doof-doof noise at night, but not enough to keep me awake.

Suite De Ville Hotel Bed

A great work space with an uncluttered desk, though a proper chair would have been better. There is tea and coffee making facilities, and free drinking water. There is free wifi in the hotel, and I had no problem with the connection during my stay.

The bathroom was clean and spacious, with a good hot water system and enough space to place personal items.

There is a free breakfast service provided, which includes a variety of rice-based dishes, a soup, and cooked eggs on request. The coffee was in a brew pot and not very good, but luckily this is an area filled with great cafes.

Suite De Ville Hotel Breakfast

As the hotel name suggests, it’s close to the beach in Danang (less than 5 minutes walk). It’s a great part of the beach as well, so if you want to save money on hotels just stay a couple of blocks away from the beach rather than staying in a beachfront hotel.

My An Beach Da Nang

Overall this was a great place to stay in Danang. My room was perfectly adequate, which I have found to be the case in many of these budget hotels in Vietnam. It would also be a good place to stay if you are apartment hunting in the area as there are many option around here.

Book the Suite De Ville Hotel online, or search for more hotels in Danang.
