Guesthouse Review: Lolo House, Legian Bali - Indonesia

Hotel Name: Lolo House
Address: Jl. Melasti Gang Lebak Bene, Legian, Bali – Indonesia.

I stayed at Lolo House while I was in Legian. I found this place as I was staying across the road at the Rosani Hotel. There isn’t a website for this guesthouse so I just walked in off the street.

I was quoted 150,000 IDR ($12.50 USD) per night was and offered 140,000 IDR ($11.70 USD) per night for booking for a week.

Lolo’s is a basic family-run losmen (guesthouse style accommodation in Indonesia) which are slowly disappearing in this part of Bali. It used to be the case that you could turn up and find cheap accommodation in the little alleyways here, but since my last visit I have noticed more blocks of land cleared to make way for big box hotels.

The rooms here are basic and you will need to ask to have the room cleaned regularly if you are staying here for a while as they were slack with that. The buildings were built before the age of travellers carrying bagloads of electronics, so my room had one solitary power outlet which was being used for the fan (which is why you should carry a travel powerstrip). There is internet at the hotel which is usable in the rooms.

Breakfast was served daily in front of your room as soon as you emerge for the day. It consisted of a toasted egg or banana sandwich, fruits, and tea or Bali Kopi.

If you prefer to stay at a hotel with more than one star then search for more hotels in Legian at Agoda.
