Hotel Review: Evelyn Hotel, Da Nang – Vietnam

October 11, 2018 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Evelyn Hotel, Da Nang - Vietnam

Hotel Name: Evelyn Hotel.
Address: 115 Tran Phu, Da Nang, Vietnam.

I stayed at the Evelyn Hotel in Da Nang, Vietnam. I booked it online and picked it for its price and location. I paid $10 USD per night, which is a great deal for this area. At that rate it’s better than staying in a hostel. The hotel is located near the Han Market by the river. This is a central location when staying in the riverside area of Da Nang.

When I arrived I thought it looked familiar, and it turns out I stayed here when it was the Daisy Hotel. It’s since been renovated and renamed.

The hotel is next to a spa, and the building is decorated in the same over-the-top gold finishings.

The reception was also styled in the loud gold wallpaper. I was wondering how the rooms were going to be designed.

Reception

I was on the 5th floor, and being a tall and skinny building there was no lift. With the building being so small, every room has an outward facing window.

Room

Fortunately the rooms were more tastefully decorated, with a simple white walls and furnishings.

Bed

The bathroom was clean and orderly, with a good hot water service.

Bathroom

There is free wifi at the hotel, and I had no problem connecting from my room.

There is no breakfast service, but there is a cafe in the same building that does a good banh mi and Vietnamese iced coffee for breakfast.

Overall this was a good budget accommodation option. If you are just looking for a cheap private room then this will serve you well.

Check prices for the Evelyn Hotel or search for more hotels in Danang. If you are looking to stay by the beach then have a look at this budget hotel.
