Hotel Review: Thanh Nam 2 Mini Hotel, Chau Doc – Vietnam

December 20, 2015 By James Clark

Hotel Name: Thanh Nam 2 Mini Hotel
Address: 41 Quang Trung Street, Chau Doc, An Giang, Vietnam

Thanh Nam 2 Mini Hotel, Chau Doc - Vietnam

I stayed at the Thanh Nam 2 Mini Hotel in Chau Doc, Vietnam. I booked online via Agoda for $10 USD and booked it for its price and central location in the city.

The Thanh Nam 2 Mini Hotel is a classic backpacker guesthouse. It has a budget price, clean and simple rooms, and travel information for those backpacking around Vietnam. Chau Doc is near the Cambodia so for many people here this is their first introduction to Vietnam and it makes for a useful base to explore parts of the Mekong Delta.

I booked a private double room with a fan. I got a good wifi signal in my room and no problem of dropping out.

The room has an ensuite bathroom with hot water. The bathroom was bright, clean and tidy.

Breakfast included which comprised of a bread roll with and egg or jam, plus tea or coffee. This is the standard breakfast offer in budget guesthouses in Vietnam. I was planning to eat at the market anyway, but I couldn’t resist having a breadroll with jam as the rolls looked so fresh (they were).

There is a useful travel agency in the foyer with information on excursions around the Mekong Delta, as well as onward travel to Saigon and further north, or for those exiting Vietnam, to Cambodia.

Overall this is a great place to stay if you are backpacking or on a budget trip of Vietnam.

Book the Thanh Nam 2 Mini Hotel online or search for more hotels in Chau Doc.
