Hotel Review: T and T Hotel, Phu Quoc – Vietnam

April 4, 2021 By James Clark

Hotel Review: T and T Hotel, Phu Quoc - Vietnam

Hotel Name: T and T Hotel
Address: 118/8 Tran Hung Dao St, Phu Quoc, Kien Giang, Vietnam.

I stayed at T and T Hotel in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. I booked online at the rate of $13.02 USD per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Phu Quoc.

The T and T Hotel is located in the established hotel area of Long Beach. I had stayed in this area before at another hotel and I liked the location, so I looked for something around here.

T and T Hotel

The hotel is in a small alley that runs between the main road (Tran Hung Dao) and the beach (Long Beach). The hotel says “resort” on the front, though it is a budget hotel.

T and T Resort

I was checked in by an enthusiastic receptionist and then shown to my room.

T and T reception

I booked a “Standard Double Room” which comprised of a double bed with a private bathroom.

T and T room

The bed was comfortable, and it had useful lights and power outlets next to the bed. There is free wifi in the hotel, and I had a good reception in the room.

The room was small, but having a big window at least made the room feel bright and a bit more spacious. There was no room for a desk here, so I had to put things in the cupboard.

Room view

The bathroom was a regular budget guesthouse bathroom. It had no window but it was in good condition.

Bathroom

I liked this folklore painting of a child riding a chicken, so I have taken a picture to remind me of it.

Riding a chicken

I had one of the rooms facing the small road, and there are also rooms that have their own balcony that faces a garden (perhaps this is where they get the resort idea from).

Balcony rooms

There is no breakfast service here, so I ended up going to one of the banh mi stands that pop up on Tran Hung Dao in the morning.

The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk to the beach, and there are some cafes nearby on Tran Hung Dao. There are some cheap food options nearby and western restaurants as well. Read more about my trip to Phu Quoc.

Overall this was a good place to stay in Phu Quoc in terms of location and price. Phu Quoc accommodation is generally a bit more expensive than the mainland, which is to be expected for any island in Southeast Asia. If you are just looking for a cheap room to rest then this does the job (just don’t expect a resort if you see that advertised).

Book the T and T Hotel online or search for more hotels in Phu Quoc.

If you are new to Phu Quoc, I generally suggest staying at the northern end of Long Beach first, which is where this hotel is. It’s a big island, and there is a lot of construction going on everywhere. I did a construction report while I was there, and I also have a full list of planned hotels in Phu Quoc.
