Hotel Review: Sweet Pound Hotel, Pattaya – Thailand

March 7, 2023 By James Clark

Sweet Pound Hotel

Hotel Name: Sweet Pound Hotel.
Address: 519/16-17 Pattayasaysong 9 Alley, Pattaya, Thailand.

I stayed at the Sweet Pound Hotel in Pattaya, Thailand. I booked online at the rate of 640.55 THB ($19 USD) per night, and I booked for the combination of price and location in Pattaya. The hotel is a 2-star hotel, and I booked a Superior Twin Room.

Sweet Pound Hotel is just off Pattayasaysong Road (Pattaya Second Road). This is the main street behind the beach, and it is one of the main roads of Pattaya. Pattayasaysong 9 is a busy bar street, though most of the bars are further up the street. Along this road is a good area to stay in Pattaya.

I arrived around lunch time and check in was at 2pm. I was met by a friendly receptionist, who got the check in details done so I could check in quicker later on. I left my bags and came back at 2pm

This is a budget hotel, so there is no lift. I walked to my room which had a street-facing window. My booking was changed to a double room, which was fine by me. The bed was comfortable and the room large enough to be comfortable.

A wall-mounted TV, though I don’t know who still watches TV in hotel rooms. The room had an air-conditioner (required) but no fan. I fan would have been suitable at night.

The room had a safe, though it looked like you could just carry it out. The chair was comfortable and there was just enough room on the side table should you need to work. The wifi worked in my room without any problems.

The bathroom was in good condition and a decent size, though not enough space to place toiletries.

Overall this was a good option for a budget hotel in Pattaya. Check prices for the Sweet Pound Hotel or search for more hotels in Pattaya.
