I stayed at the Nouveau Happy Inn in Ho Chi Minh City. I booked online at the rate of 500,142 VND ($19.64 USD) per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Ho Chi Minh City
Nouveau Happy Inn is located in Pham Ngu Lao Ward of District 1. It’s near the Pham Ngu Lao backpacker area but not in it. Bui Thi Xuan Street has many budget and mid-range hotels, and it’s a convenient area to stay for walking to the main sights in the city. The hotel is in a typical tall and skinny tube building that is common in Vietnam. Often these building will not have windows in the middle room, and they will usually have stairs leading to the reception.
I booked a non-specific room, and was allocated a double room with window views.
The bed was comfortable and the room had air-conditioning but no fan.
A small desk with chairs is provided.
This was a double room but it is better for solo travellers. There is only a bedside table for one.
The bathroom was spacious enough, though the hot water took a while to start up.
I was on the 10th floor, so there was a good view of the city from here.
There is no breakfast service here, but there are plenty of food options on this street.
