I stayed at the Ngo House 2 Villa in Hoi An, Vietnam. I booked online at the rate of 183,708 VND ($7.85 USD) per night, and I booked the room for its price and location in Hoi An.
Ngo House 2 Villa is just north of the old town, about 5 minutes walk from the historic area and about 10 minutes walk from the riverfront. Most accommodation is outside of the UNESCO area, so being close to the area is ideal. Read more about where to stay in Hoi An.
The Ngo House 2 Villa felt more like a homestay than a villa, in case you were imaging villa accommodation. It is a family-run operation, which means that sometimes someone is not always there. I was soon let in and checked into my room.
I booked a Single Room, which was a small room inside the house (no window view). The room was wide enough for the bed with space to move. The bed was comfortable and the room was air-conditioned. There is free wifi here and I had a good reception in my room.
The room had an attached bathroom which had a separate shower area. The bathroom was kept in good condition.
There is a pool at Ngo House 2 Villa. It gets very hot in Hoi An in May, but unfortunately I didn’t have the time during my overnight stay to indulge in a swim.
There is no breakfast service here, but you will have no problem finding a breakfast banh mi out on the streets.
The Ngo House 2 Villa is a good option for solo budget travellers who would prefer a private room over a dorm bed.
