Hotel Review: Marine Hotel & Apartment, Vung Tau – Vietnam

July 25, 2025 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Marine Hotel & Apartment, Vung Tau - Vietnam

Hotel Name: Marine Hotel & Apartment.
Address: 9 Luong Van Can, Vung Tau, Vietnam.

Hotel review of Marine Hotel & Apartment, a budget hotel in Vung Tau Vietnam.

I stayed at the Marine Hotel & Apartment in Vung Tau, Vietnam. I booked online at the rate of 248,303 VND ($9.50 USD) per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Vung Tau.

The Marine Hotel & Apartment is about halfway between the Front Beach and Back Beach, in an area that is popular with retired expats. I recommend staying closer to the beach if it’s your first time, otherwise this is a good area for longer stays. I’m a frequent visitor to Vung Tau (it’s an easy ferry from Saigon to Vung Tau), so I like staying in this area.

If you are new to Vung Tau, here is my guide on where to stay in Vung Tau.

Marine Hotel and Apartment

The Marine Hotel and Apartment is in a tall and skinny building that is typical in Vietnam.

These type of buildings usually have a front, middle, and back room on each floor. Sometimes the middle room doesn’t have a window, so check that when booking (they will usually be the cheapest room).

I booked the “Superior City View”, which is one of the front-facing rooms.

The bed was comfortable, and there was good wifi reception in the room.

I liked that the room had full-length windows across the length of the room, though the room gets hot in the afternoon without air-condtioning.

The bathroom was in good condition.

I had a good view from my room, but I don’t know why it is called the Marine Hotel when there is no view of anything remotely maritime.

This is a budget hotel with no breakfast service, though there are some banh mi vendors on this street in the morning.

Overall this was a good place to stay if you are looking for a simple budget room in Vung Tau.

Check prices for the Marine Hotel & Apartment or search for more hotels in Vung Tau.
