Hotel Review: Kien Cuong 1 Hotel, Da Nang – Vietnam

December 21, 2019 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Kien Cuong 1 Hotel, Da Nang - Vietnam

Hotel Name: Kien Cuong 1 Hotel
Address: Lot D2, An Thuong 30, Phuoc My, Da Nang, Vietnam.

I stayed at the Kien Cuong 1 Hotel in Danang, Vietnam. Originally I had booked at the Kien Cuong Hotel, but when I arrived the hotel was closed. I was then told by a worker that the hotel has moved down the road to Kien Cuong 1 Hotel.

The hotel was close by so it wasn’t a major inconvenience.

I had prepaid on Agoda, but the new hotel wanted a payment. Fortunately they let me contact Agoda first, and refunded me almost immediately. I have found Agoda to be responsive to cancellations for situations like this. The rate was 350,000 VND ($15 USD) per night, so still a good deal.

Reception

Like my previous booking, I got a double room with a private bathroom. There was a window, but it was just a view of the hotel next door. The hotels are being built close to each other here, so the best window views will be the ones facing the street. I just wanted a window for natural light so I didn’t mind no view. The bed was comfortable and the room had air conditioning.

Bed

There is free water and tea and coffee making facilities. There is wifi throughout the hotel, and I had no problem with the connection during my stay.

TV

The bathroom was clean and spacious with a good hot water system.

Bathroom

There is a basic breakfast buffet that consists of some noodles and bread, and a chef is there to cook eggs.

Breakfast

I booked the hotel for its location in An Thuong, which is one of my preferred areas to stay in Danang when staying near the beach. Much of the Danang beach area is still developing, and at the time of my visit there was construction mess and roadworks everywhere. This area though is becoming popular for western backpackers and long term nomads, so there are some good bars and places to eat around here.

Overall this was a good place to stay for price and location. Book the Kien Cuong 1 Hotel online, or search for more hotels in Danang.
