Guesthouse Review: Jonadda Guest House, Chiang Mai – Thailand

September 30, 2015 By James Clark

Guesthouse Name: Jonadda Guest House
Address: 23/1 Ratchavithi Rd Soi 2, Chiang Mai, Thailand

Jonadda Guest House, Chiang Mai - Thailand

I stayed at the Jonadda Guest House in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I walked without a booking and got a double room for 250 THB ($7 USD). I was familiar with this part of Chiang Mai which has many guesthouses in the area. I remember the Jonadda because it is Australian-Thai owned guesthouse with an Australian map on the front sign.

I got a double room with a fan. It’s not crazy hot in September so I never get the A/C option. The room was spacious and bright. The bed was firm but no uncomfortable.

The room had an attached bathroom which was clean and in working order.

There is a common sitting area downstairs and a breakfast service available (no included in the room rate). I liked this little garden terrace on the first floor.

There is wifi available in public areas and in the rooms, and the signal was no problem.

For budget guesthouses in Chiang Mai it’s easy enough to turn up and look for a place to stay rather than book online. Most of the cheapest places aren’t on the booking sites.

If you prefer to book something in advance or would like something a bit fancier search for more hotels in Chiang Mai. If you are a Chiang Mai newbie then read this guide on where to stay in Chiang Mai.
