Hotel Review: Joi Hospitality – Anthony, Vung Tau – Vietnam

August 13, 2024 By James Clark

Hotel review of Joi Hospitality – Anthony Hotel in the Phan Chu Trinh expat area in Vung Tau, Vietnam.

Hotel Name: Joi Hospitality – Anthony.
Address: I43 Đ. Phan Huy Ích, Phường 1, Vung Tau, Vietnam.

I stayed at the Joi Hospitality – Anthony in Vung Tau, Vietnam. I booked online at the rate of $16.80 USD per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Vung Tau.

The Joi Hospitality – Anthony Hotel is near Phan Chu Trinh, which is a popular street for retired expats. Phan Chu Trinh runs between the Front Beach and Back Beach, but not near enough to either. I am familiar with this area so I choose to be around here.

If you are just visiting Vung Tau for a weekend beach break, here is my guide on where to stay in Vung Tau if you need help in deciding the best area.

Joi Hospitality – Anthony is so named because there are other Joi Hospitality hotels in Vung Tau. I previously stayed at Front Beach Hotel by Joi Hospitality.

Joi Hospitality – Anthony is in a row of other tall and skinny buildings.

The hotel has taken over the neighbouring building, so the check-on for both places were combined into the single building.

Entrance is at the ground level with no stairs. There is also bike parking at the property.

My room was in the corner of the building so I had windows on two sides. I like rooms that are flooded with light, so this was a good room for me. The beed was comfortable and the room was air-conditioned, which was needed with such an exposed room. There was also a good wifi signal.

A kettle and fridge is in the room.

The bathroom was in good condition.

The building is oddly designed in that there is a cavity in the middle of the building. They put the air conditioning units in this area instead of facing outside. As a result, the air was hot in the stairwell area.

Overall this room served my purpose of a cheap room in an area of Vung Tau that I wanted to stay in.

Check prices for the Joi Hospitality – Anthony or search for more hotels in Vung Tau.

If you are visiting from Ho Chi Minh City you can get the ferry to Vung Tau.
