Hotel Review: Front Beach Hotel by Joi Hospitality, Vung Tau - Vietnam

Hotel review of Front Beach Hotel by Joi Hospitality in Vung Tau, Vietnam.

Hotel Name: Front Beach Hotel by Joi Hospitality
Address: 136 Hạ Long, Phường 2, Vung Tau, Vietnam.

I stayed at the Front Beach Hotel by Joi Hospitality in Vung Tau, Vietnam. I booked online at the rate of 290,000 VND ($11.70 USD), and I booked it for its price and location in Vung Tau.

Front Beach Hotel by Joi Hospitality is located near the Front Beach (though technically not on the Front Beach). The hotel is on the road leading from the Front Beach that goes around the mountain to the Back Beach.

The Front Beach area is my preferred area to stay in Vung Tau as it is close to the old city centre area. If you are new to Vung Tau, then read my guide on where to stay in Vung Tau.

Front Beach Hotel on Ha Long

The Front Beach Hotel is a skinny tube building that is common in Vietnam. It’s on the main road so it is easy enough to find.

I arrived early so I left my bags and came back to check in at 2pm.

Front Beach Hotel reception

My booking was for a “Deluxe Side Sea View Double Room”. My room was at the back of the building so I was wondering how I was going to get a sea view, but sure enough there was a sea view. The bed was comfortable and everything the room was in good working order.

There was also a sea view from the corridor, so this hotel gets plenty of sea breeze.

The room had a tiny table that was only useful for small items. There is free wifi in the hotel, and I had a good reception in my room.

The small fridge doubled as an extra table.

A small bathroom with walk-in shower. The bathroom was kept in good condition.

Here is the view from the corridor where you can see the Front Beach. At the far end of this bay is the pier for ferries from Ho Chi Minh City. I got the ferry from HCMC to Vung Tau and walked from the pier to the hotel. That was another appeal of this hotel location.

View from Front Beach Hotel

I liked walking out of the hotel and having the sea right in front of the door.

Overall this was good value for a cheapo hotel in Vung Tau. Check prices for the Front Beach Hotel by Joi Hospitality or search for more hotels in Vung Tau.
