Guesthouse Review: Jasmine Guesthouse, Chiang Mai – Thailand

October 30, 2017 By James Clark

Guesthouse Review: Jasmine Guesthouse, Chiang Mai - Thailand

Guesthouse Name: Jasmine Guesthouse
Address: 200/1 Ratchapakhinai Rd, Old City Chiang Mai, Thailand

I stayed at Jasmine Guesthouse in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I booked it online and picked it for its location in the old city.

Jasmine Guesthouse, Chiang Mai

The guesthouse is located about 5 minutes walk away from Ratchadamnoen Rd, which is the main road in the old city that becomes the Sunday night walking market. If you’ve never been to Chiang Mai then I recommend staying in the old city first. Read more about which area to stay in Chiang Mai.

Ratchapakhinai Rd

The reception has a little common area and information on tours in and around Chiang Mai.

Reception

I got a double room with private bathroom. My room happened to have a window and balcony, giving a view of Doi Suthep (the mountain near Chiang Mai). The room also had air conditioning.

Room

The bed was comfortable though a bit saggy in places.

Bed

The bathroom was clean and spacious with a good hot water service.

Bathroom

There is free wifi at the property, and I picked up two different signals in my room no problem.

Overall this was an adequate place to stay, most suitable for backpackers who would prefer to spend a few baht more and get a private room instead of a dorm.

Book the Jasmine Guesthouse online or search for more places to stay in Chiang Mai.
