Hotel Review: Hotel Phi Hung, Tam Ky – Vietnam

December 1, 2020 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Hotel Phi Hung, Tam Ky - Vietnam

Hotel Name: Hotel Phi Hung
Address: 439 Hung Vuong, Tam Ky (Quang Nam), Vietnam

I stayed at Hotel Phi Hung in Tam Ky, Vietnam. I booked online at the rate of $17.10 USD per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Tam Ky. This was literally a last-minute booking, as another place I booked had closed down (which was a common story in 2020). I went to a cafe and searched on Agoda for a new place, booked it and then got a taxi there.

Hotel Phi Hung

The Hotel Phi Hung is on one of the main through-roads in Tam Ky. There didn’t appear to be a central point in the city, and ultimately this location was fine for my needs.

Phi Hung entrance

Tam Ky is not on the tourist trail, and as such there were no English speakers on-site. Not that it matters if you have already paid online. I just handed over my passport and was then shown to my room.

Reception

I got a double room with a private bathroom. I made sure I had a window room, and my room was facing the street. The room was small, but the big window made the room feel bright and spacious.

Phi Hung room

The bed was firm but not uncomfortable. There was an option of a fan or air conditioner. There is free wifi and I had a solid connection in my room.

The bathroom was a bit small, but apart from that, it was clean and in good order.

Bathroom

There is no breakfast service here if that is important. The hotel arranged a taxi to the airport at a cheaper rate than Grab was quoting.

Overall this was a good place to stay if you are just looking for a budget room in Tam Ky. Book the Hotel Phi Hung online or search for more hotels in Tam Ky.
