Guesthouse Review: Hanoi Zesty Hotel

December 4, 2017 By James Clark

Guesthouse Review: Hanoi Zesty Hotel

Hotel Name: Hanoi Zesty Hotel
Address: 20B Hang Can Street, Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, Vietnam

I stayed at the Hanoi Zesty Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam. I was looking for a budget room in the old quarter and this one came up as a suitable option.

Hanoi Zesty Hotel

I booked a double room with private bathroom. I also made sure my room had a window, which some rooms don’t have. Many of the hotels in old Hanoi are skinny buildings with a long length, so lots of rooms in the middle of the building have no windows. Not that there was any view, but at least there was natural light. My bed was comfortable and at this time of year there was no need for fan or A/C.

Room

The bathroom was clean and orderly with a good hot water system. My opinion of the bathroom might also be relative, as I was just happy to be out of the bathroom from the last place I stayed at.

Bathroom

The common area downstairs is long and skinny, with public tables sit sit and eat at. There is free wifi and I had no problem connecting in my room or in the common areas.

common area

There is a breakfast service here, but I had an early flight so I missed it. In terms of location, this is an ideal place for exploring the old city area, and an area I recommend for first-timers to Hanoi.

Hang Can Street

Overall this was an ok place to say if you are just looking for a cheap room in Hanoi. Book the Hanoi Zesty Hotel online or search for more hotels in Hanoi.
