Hotel Review: Cocosand Hotel, Phan Thiet – Vietnam

November 17, 2024 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Cocosand Hotel, Phan Thiet - Vietnam

Hotel review of the Cocosand Hotel in Phan Thiet, a budget bungalow near the beach of Phan Thiet in Vietnam.

Hotel Name: Cocosand Hotel (Khách Sạn Cát Dừa).
Address: 119 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Ham Tien, Mũi Né, Phan Thiet, Vietnam.

I stayed at the Cocosand Hotel in Phan Thiet, Vietnam. I booked online at the rate of 366,616 VND ($14.46 USD) per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Phan Thiet.

The Cocosand Hotel (Khách sạn Cát Dừa in Vietnamese) is on the main beach road that runs between Phan Thiet and Mui Ne. It’s a long road so hotel selection is important here. I’ve written a guide on where to stay in Phan Thiet for an introduction to the area.

I am familiar with this area so I knew where the hotel was. It’s just past the main beach area with the best beach, so you have to walk about 10 minutes to get to the good beach section.

The hotel is down an alley that is clearly marked with the hotel name and street number.

The hotel is more of a homestay, with the main entrance being the family house.

There is a reception desk for show, but I just called out and someone came out from the house.

The hotel is set in a sandy garden filled with coconut trees and other tropical plants.

The garden included a jackfruit tree.

The rooms are in individual bungalows.

My room was listed as a Standard Room, which had a double bed in a basic room.

The bed was comfortable and the room was air conditioned, and there was a wifi reception in the bungalow.

A typical bungalow bathroom, and the sink was outside the bathroom.

Overall this was a good place to stay considering the budget price. I enjoy staying in these budget bungalow accommodations in Southeast Asia, as it adds to the feeling of being by the beach.

Check prices for the Cocosand Hotel or search for more hotels in Phan Thiet.

If you are looking for a beach break from Ho Chi Minh City, then you can get a train from Saigon to Phan Thiet, and then get a taxi from the station to the beach hotels area.
