Guest House Review: Ban FahSai Guest House, Koh Samet – Thailand

December 21, 2021 By James Clark

Guest House Review: Ban FahSai Guest House, Koh Samet - Thailand

Hotel Name: Ban FahSai Guest House.
Address: 87,Moo. 4, T. Phe, A.Muang, Koh Samet, Thailand.

I stayed at the Ban FahSai Guest House in Koh Samet, Thailand. I booked online at the rate of 18.76 USD per night, and I booked for its price and location in Koh Samet.

Ban FahSai is on the main road that runs between the ferry pier and the main beach. There are a number of hostels and guesthouses along here, and it is the cheapest place to stay in Koh Samet because it is not on the beach. It’s an easy walk to the beach from here, and was here to rent a motorbike for a day, so the beach wasn’t a priority. You can walk here from the ferry, so it is easy to get to. Koh Samet is the closest nice island near Bangkok, so being near the ferry makes it a little bit quicker.

Ban FahSai Guest House, Koh Samet - Thailand

The Ban FahSai is a casual place and it took me a while to find someone to check me in.

Reception

The rooms are behind the reception facing a little courtyard area.

Rooms

I booked a Standard Double Room with Fan.

Room

The bed was comfortable and the fan was sufficient to keep the room cool. There is wifi in the room, and I had no problem with the reception.

Fan room

The bathroom was in good condition. It had an instant hot water service and plenty of space around the sink.

Bathroom

There is no breakfast service here so I went out nearby. There are some great local markets nearby, and two 7-Elevens on this street.

Overall the Ban FahSai is most suitable for budget travellers and backpackers looking for a private room. Book the Ban FahSai Guest House online or search for more hotels in Koh Samet.

Here is my trip report: Notes on Ko Samet – The closest beach-break island from Bangkok.
