[Travel Photo] Theme Building, Los Angeles International Airport

Theme Building - LAX

While LAX might be one of my least favourite airports in the world, I will never tire of seeing this building. The Theme Building was completed in 1961 and it looks like what the future was meant to look like. Instead we got glass boxes.

  1. I could not agree more. LAX is a wasteland of an airport with this single point of light in the middle. To be fair, I kind of like the colored tile work in the passage to baggage claim, but my appreciation stops there!

    • I haven’t seen those tiles but I don’t think it will change my opinion of the airport either. It is interesting to read the wiki page on what the original design of the building was going to be. That would have been good to see. They are currently renovating the airport but it still doesn’t fix the fact that if you are transiting you have to go outside and get a bus to your terminal.
