Guesthouse Review: The Travel Hub Guesthouse, Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia

September 19, 2015 By James Clark

Guesthouse Name: The Travel Hub Guesthouse
Address: 1st Floor, 15 Jalan Balai Polis, Off Petaling Street, Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The Travel Hub Guesthouse, Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia

I stayed at The Travel Hub Guesthouse in Kuala Lumpur. I booked online for the rate of $11.87 USD and selected it for its location in the Chinatown area of KL.

The Travel Hub is in a heritage building on a corner at the back of Chinatown. It’s close to the Pasar Seni metro station and the Petaling Street market.

I got a single room with a shared bathroom. The room was small with a big window. It was a clean and tidy room and ideal if you are a budget traveller looking for something cheap and with more privacy than a hostel. This room was fan only. It got hot during the day with the big window, but otherwise not a problem if you are out and about during the day.

Bedroom

The shared bathrooms had the shower, toilet, and sink in the same room. They were clean and had enough space to hang things.

Shared Bathroom

There is a kitchen if you are a self-catering traveller.

Kitchen

The guesthouse interior has lots of little nice details like these lanterns and old windows. I like how they have preserved some of the old features of this property.

Rooms

There is a rooftop bar and hangout area, which is where breakfast is served as well. It’s the usual guesthouse breakfast of coffee and toast. You are better off having an Indian breakfast in the surrounding streets which will cost you a couple of bucks.

Rooftop Bar

There is free wifi throughout the building, and I had no problem connecting from my room.

Overall this was a good stay and is a suitable place for budget backpackers looking for a private room in KL.

Book The Travel Hub Guesthouse online or search for more hotels in Kuala Lumpur.
