Hotel Review: Smile Hotel, Nha Trang – Vietnam

November 10, 2024 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Smile Hotel, Nha Trang - Vietnam

Hotel review of the Smile Hotel in Nha Trang, a budget hotel in the heart of the tourist area near Nha Trang Beach.

Hotel Name: Smile Hotel.
Address: 45/1 Hung Vuong, Loc Tho, Nha Trang, Vietnam.

I stayed at the Smile Hotel in Nha Trang, Vietnam. I booked online at the rate of $9.37 USD per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Nha Trang.

The Smile Hotel is located in an alley off Hung Vuong Street, which is in the main tourist area of Nha Trang. If you are unfamiliar with the city, here is my guide on where to stay in Nha Trang.

Hung Vuong Alley entrance for Smile Hotel

The hotel is far enough in the alley to not any disturbance from the main street, and it is also an alley that is easy enough to find.

And once you are in the alley you will definitely be able to find the hotel entrance.

My room that I booked was “Superior Window”, which consisted of a double bed in a room with a big window.

The bed was comfortable and it had sensible bedside table with power outlets on either side. Despite the small size of the room, they managed to fit in a useful desk and chair should you need it. There was also a good wifi reception in the room.

The furnisings have been purpose-built to fit the limited space.

A good bathroom with enough space around the sink, and the shower area has its own box (not the usual Southeast Asia style).

The hotel has a small roof top pool with a view of the sea.

And amazingly, my room also had a partial view of the sea. You shouldn’t expect any kind of sea view in a hotel tucked down an alleyway, but it turns out that this alley is in front of a beach lot that has been empty for years. I follow construction projects in Nha Trang, and I haven’t seen any news about this lot.

Even if you have a room without a view, the beach is only a few minutes walk away, which is the whole point of staying in this beachside hotel.

Nha Trang Beach

Overall this turned out to be a good budget hotel by the sea in Nha Trang. Book the Smile Hotel online or search for more hotels in Nha Trang.
