Hotel Review: Queen Garden Hotel, Vung Tau – Vietnam

January 2, 2025 By James Clark

Hotel Review Queen Garden Hotel Vung Tau Vietnam

Hotel review of the Queen Garden Hotel in Vung Tau, near the Phan Chu Trinh expat area.

Hotel Name: Queen Garden Hotel.
Address: H3 Phan Huy Chú, Phường 2, Vung Tau, Vietnam.

I stayed at the Queen Garden Hotel in Vung Tau, Vietnam. I booked online at the rate of 395,733 VND ($15.56 USD) per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Vung Tau.

Vung Tau is the closest beach city to Saigon, and I like visiting because there is an easy ferry from Saigon to Vung Tau.

The Queen Garden Hotel is located between the Front Beach and Back Beach area, so it’s not convenient if you want to be near the sea. The hotel is located near Phan Chu Trinh Street, which is a popular area for retired expats (especially Australians).

There are many bars and western restaurants in this area, and its popular for visitors who want to stay for longer. I know the area and wanted to stay here, but if you are a first-time visitor then I suggest the Front Beach or Back Beach area. Here is my guide on where to stay in Vung Tau.

The Queen Garden Hotel is in a row of skinny buildings that is typical in Vietnam. There is a steep staircase to the entrance, but you can use the lift in the ground level bike parking area if you need to.

Queen Garden Hotel reception

I booked a Superior Room which had a double bed. The room had a window that faced a stairwell, so it wasn’t an outside view.

The bed was comfortable and the room had air conditioning. There was a good wifi reception in the room.

Free drinking water and basic snacks available for purchase.

The bathroom was spacious enough and in good condition.

Overall this was a decent budget hotel in the expat area of Vung Tau. There are lots of montlhy rental places in this area, so you could stay in a place like this and then scout around for a long-term room.

Check prices for the Queen Garden Hotel or search for more hotels in Vung Tau.
