Hotel Review: Pudsadee Hotel, Chiang Mai – Thailand

April 25, 2023 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Pudsadee Hotel, Chiang Mai - Thailand

Hotel Name: Pudsadee Hotel.
Address: 3/10 Soi 5 Phrapokklao Rd, Old City, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

I stayed at the Pudsadee Hotel in Chiang Mai. I booked online at the rate of 450 THB ($12.95 USD) and I booked for the price and location in Chiang Mai. Pudsadee Hotel is inside the old city area (inside the moat), nearest to the south gate (Chiang Mai Gate). This is a good area to stay in Chiang Mai if its your first visit. I have been to Chiang Mai numerous times and I usually stay in the old city if I am there for a short visit.

I got a prepaid taxi from the airport (150 THB) and the address was a bit confusing. I had the hotel on my map so I was able to show the taxi driver.

The hotel is down an alley near a toruisty street, but like most of the old town it is a quiet area.

The hotel is a 3-level building with no lift. The rooms are motel-style, with the doors opening out onto the outdoor corridor.

Pudsadee Hotel balcony

The room was clean, simple, and spacious. This is typical of a budget guesthouse experience in Chiang Mai.

Pudsadee Hotel bed

The bed was comfortable and the room had air-conditioning (which is needed in the dry season). There is wifi and I had no problem with the reception.

The bathroom was clean and in good condition, and having an instant hot water service is the beat. Having the sink outside the room is annoying though, and I am not sure why they thought a urinal would be a better use of space inside the bathroom where the sink should be.

Having a window on either side of the room was good for light and air circulation, and I could see Doi Suthep from the balcony.

There is a washing service here, and they can also arrange tours and other travel services. There is no breakfast service here, but there are enough places nearby.

Overall this was a good budget room in Chiang Mai. Book the OYO 799 Pudsadee Hotel online or search for more hotels in Chiang Mai.
