Hotel Review: Phuc Long 2 Hotel, Can Tho – Vietnam

December 21, 2024 By James Clark

Hotel review of the Phuc Long 2 Hotel in Can Tho – a no-frills budget hotel in the riverfront area of Can Tho, Vietnam.

Hotel Name: Phuc Long 2 Hotel.
Address: 15 Dien Bien Phu, An Lac, Ninh Kieu, Can Tho, Vietnam.

I stayed at Phuc Long 2 Hotel in Can Tho, Vietnam. I booked online at the rate of 314,798 VND ($12.40 USD) per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Can Tho.

The Phuc Long 2 Hotel is located in the riverfront area of the Can Tho River, and on the edge of the walkable area for tourists. I have a guide on where to stay in Can Tho if you would like to get familiar with the city first.

The Phuc Long 2 Hotel is in an alley off a main road that leads to the riverfront. My taxi dropped me off at the entrance as there is no room for cars in this alley. The alley is a hardware market (Cho An Lac) so it is not a very touristy street.

The traffic is mainly for the market and it is not too busy.

Despite the small street, the Phuc Long 2 Hotel is easy to find.

The Phuc Long 2 Hotel is a budget hotel, and the reception is sparcely furnished.

My booking was for a “Twin Room” but I got a double. The room was a typical bare mimimum budget hotel that you would expect to find in Vietnam.

The room was old so there weren’t enough power outlets, and the air-conditioning wasn’t very responsive (it was set to “freezing” and I couldn’t change the temperature). There was a good wifi reception in the room.

The bathroom was typical Southeast Asia-style setup, with a instant hot water service.

Overall this was an adequate room to stay for the night. It is best suitable for backpackers who would prefer a private room instead of staying in a dorm. At such a cheap rate I can’t complain.

Book the Phuc Long 2 Hotel online or search for more hotels in Can Tho.

I previously stayed at the Tay Ho Hotel, which is right on the riverfront in the heart of the action.
