Hotel Review: Phan Rang Hotel, Phan Rang-Thap Cham – Vietnam

December 22, 2020 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Phan Rang Hotel, Phan Rang-Thap Cham - Vietnam

Hotel Name: Phan Rang Hotel
Address: 135 Tran Quang Dieu, Phan Rang-Thap Cham, Vietnam.

I stayed at the Phan Rang Hotel in Phan Rang-Thap Cham, Vietnam. I booked it online at the rate of 221,850 VND ($9.65 USD) per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Phan Rang.

This was my first trip to Phan Rang-Thap Cham so I wasn’t familiar with where to stay. There is also a beachfront in the city which I had considered staying at, but I went for the cityside instead. There didn’t appear to be a central point of the city, so I picked a spot near what looked like to be the main park of the city.

Even though the hotel is close to the park and the provincial museum, I was surprised to find that this was a new urban area that was still in development. This is a new area, with lots of empty lots yet to be built on. I figured that with the hotel name being “Phan Rang Hotel” that is must be an old hotel, as “city name” + “hotel” is usually the first name for a hotel.

Phan Rang Hotel

I was checked in by a friendly receptionist and then shown to my room. I booked a double room with a private bathroom. The room had a big window facing the street, and the bed was firm but comfortable. Power outlets by the bed and the room felt new and spacious.

Bed

The room has the option of a fan or A/C, and there was a good wifi signal in my room.

Fan and AC

There is a fridge and kettle in the room, and some free bottled water.

Fridge

The room has a little table which looks most useful for having a cup of tea by, but not good for working.

Corner table

The bathroom was small but in good condition with a good hot water system.

Bathroom

There is no breakfast service here, but there is a menu for food that you can order. I went to one of the banh mi stands opposite the park. There are also cafes and restaurants around the park area, so it turned out to be a convenient place.

Overall this was a good spot to stay in Phan Rang. I was able to walk around the city from here, and being near the park was a nice bonus. The hotel is good value if you are just looking for a cheap budget hotel.

Book the Phan Rang Hotel online or search for more hotels in Phan Rang-Thap Cham.
