Hotel Review: My Hotel @ Sentral, Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia

September 12, 2018 By James Clark

Hotel Review: My Hotel @ Sentral, Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia

Hotel Name: My Hotel @ Sentral
Address: No 1 Jalan Tun Sambanthan 4, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I stayed at the My Hotel @ Sentral in Kuala Lumpur. I booked it online for its price and location near KL Sentral station. The rate was $17 USD per night, plus the 10 MYR ($2.40 USD) per night government hotel tax that you pay on arrival.

I stayed in this area earlier this year at another hotel. It’s a good location if you are just transiting through KL and want to get to the main station quickly. If you are staying longer I would stay in another area, which you can read more about at my guide for best areas to stay in KL.

My Hotel @ Sentral

My Hotel is a budget hotel group in Malaysia (thus the @ Sentral part). The hotel is on a main street and east to find. I was greeted by a friendly door man and receptionist, and then went to my room.

Entrance

I booked a bouble room with private bathroom, but I was been allocated a family room (if your family has one child). The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room had A/C and a window that faced an alley.

Beds

A good working desk, free of clutter, and a separate area for tea and coffee. Free water is provided in the room.

Desk

The bathroom was also spacious, and it was in good condition. There was a good hot water system, with enough space to place toiletries.

Bathroom

There is free wifi at the hotel, and I had no issue with the connection. There is no breakfast service, but the hotel is surrounded by cheap Indian restaurants so I wouldn’t have had breakfast there anyway.

Overall this was a good budget hotel option in Kuala Lumpur. Book the My Hotel @ Sentral online or search for more hotels in Kuala Lumpur.
