Guesthouse Review: Just Inn, Georgetown Penang – Malaysia

April 9, 2016 By James Clark

Just Inn, Georgetown Penang - Malaysia

Guesthouse Name: Just Inn
Address: 155,157 & 159, Lebuh Carnarvon, Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia

I stayed at the Just Inn in Georgetown, Penang. I walked in off the street and got a single room with shared bathroom for 40 MYR ($10.25 USD).

The Just Inn is a budget guesthouse of the style that is popular with backpackers. the rooms are partitioned rooms that is common in Malaysia.

Partitioned rooms

I wanted a single but I was allocated a twin room so I had a bit more room. There was no window, which is usual for these type of rooms. The room had a fan and extractor fan. The bed was comfortable and there was a table, but nowhere to hang clothes.

Bedroom

The shared bathrooms were kept clean during my stay and there was hot water for the showers.

Shared bathroom

There was free wifi throughout the property. No breakfast, but when in Penang you should be eating every meal outside anyway!

Overall this was a reliable budget guesthouse that is suitable for budget backpackers who would prefer not to stay in a dorm room. Book the Just Inn online or search for more hotels in Penang. For first-timers to Penang check out this guide on where to stay in Georgetown.
