Guesthouse Review: Guesthouse Berlin, Bar – Montenegro

October 6, 2021 By James Clark

Guesthouse Review: Guesthouse Berlin, Bar - Montenegro

Hotel Name: Guesthouse Berlin.
Address: Bulevar 24. Novembra, Bar, Montenegro.

I stayed at Guesthouse Berlin in Bar, Montenegro. I booked online at the rate of €13.50 per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Bar. I was arriving in Bar by train from Podgorica, so I wanted a place that was within walking distance of the train station and the centre of the city. The Guesthouse Berlin fit the ideal location for me. The bus station is also near the train station, so that was handy when leaving.

The Guesthouse Berlin is part of a restaurant with a garden seating area out the front.

Guesthouse Berlin

This is a small family-run operation with a few rooms at the back of the building. I met the friendly owner and then was shown to my room.

Hallway

I got a double room with a private bathroom.

Bed

The bed was comfortable, and there was a good wifi reception in my room.

Room

A clean bathroom with a good hot water system.

Bathroom

My room had a balcony overlooking the mountains behind the city and was surrounded by pomegranate trees.

Guesthouse view

I had dinner at the attached restaurant, which was an affordably-priced grilled meat restaurant. There was no breakfast service though, so I went to a bakery.

Overall this was a good budget option for staying in Bar. It’s not in the city centre, but it is close enough to walk. Being closer to the transport options made it good for a quick getaway.

Book the Guesthouse Berlin online, or search for more hotels in Bar.
