Hotel Review: Cordia Residence Sathorn, Bangkok

May 17, 2022 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Cordia Residence Sathorn, Bangkok - Thailand

Hotel Name: Cordia Residence Sathorn.
Address: 88/1-3, Soi Sathorn 8, Sathorn Nua Rd., Bangrak, Bangkok, Thailand

I stayed at the Cordia Residence Sathorn in Bangkok. I booked online at the rate of 621.88 THB ($17.96 USD) per night. The hotel is off Sathorn Road in the Silom area. I have listed this as one of the best areas to stay in Bangkok. This area is the original business district and there are many shops and restaurants in this area. It’s also near the Chong Nonsi BTS station on the Silom Line. Wherever you stay in Bangkok, try and stay near a rail transit line (BTS or MRT).

Even though I know this area well enough, the address wasn’t immediately obvious to me. The best thing to do is mark it on your map and follow the blue dot to the property. It is next to a 7/Eleven, which is not really helpful in the land of thousands of 7/Elevens, but look for it anyway.

The hotel/residence is half-buried in overhead wires, which is the style in Bangkok.

I booked a Standard Room, which was a small room with a small double bed. The room also had a useful table and chair set with no clutter.

The room had a TV and fridge, of which I had no use for either. The room is air-conditioned and there is free wifi throughout the hotel.

The bathroom was in good condition, though I am not a fan of the shower-in-bath setting.

My room had a window that opened out onto a small balcony.

There was a common area on my floor in the outdoor balcony, and this is where smokers congregate.

Overall this is a good option if you are just looking for a budget room in the Silom/Sathorn area. There are many hostels in Silom, so this would a good alternative if you want to upgrade to a private room instead of a dorm

Book the Cordia Residence Sathorn online or search for more hotels in Bangkok.
