Hotel Review: Classic Hotel City Resort, Hualien – Taiwan

Hotel Review: Classic Hotel City Resort, Hualien - Taiwan

Hostel Name: Classic Hotel City Resort
Address: No. 139, Guolian 5th Road, Hualien City, Hualien County, Taiwan.

I stayed at the Classic Hotel City Resort in Hualien, Taiwan. I booked it for its location near the main train station, where I would be arriving from Taipei. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the station, and it turned out to be an ideal location.

Classic Hotel City Resort

Classic Hotel City Resort is a 4-star hotel. I wouldn’t call it a resort as it doesn’t have a swimming pool. It is a hotel in the city though, and it was a good pick for staying in Hualien.

Reception

I got a twin room with a mountain view. The room was spacious (compared to Taipei standards at least) and the bed was comfortable.

Twin Room

A sensible, uncluttered work desk.

Desk

Free water and some tea and coffee making facilities. There were also some welcome mochi balls.

Water

The bathroom was clean and spacious, with a good walk-in shower.

Bathroom

There is free wifi at the hotel, and I had no problem with the reception or staying connected. There is a breakfast service at the hotel but my discount rate didn’t include breakfast.

The location was ideal for access to the train station. And the buses to Taroko National Park (why most people come here) depart from the train station as well. the downtown area is about a 30 minute walk from the hotel.

Overall this was a great place to stay in Hualien if you are coming to see the Taroko National Park. Book the Classic Hotel City Resort online or search for more hotels in Hualien.
