Hotel Review: Chaba Chalet, Hua Hin – Thailand

April 29, 2023 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Chaba Chalet, Hua Hin - Thailand

Hotel Name: Chaba Chalet.
Address: 1/18 Sasong Road, Hua Hin, Thailand.

I stayed at the Chaba Chalet in Hua Hin, Thailand. I booked online at the rate of $11.93 USD per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Hua Hin. This is a convenient area to stay in Hua Hin.

Chaba Chalet is within easy walking distance from the old train station, and it is in the part of town that is between the train line and the main road.

Hua Hin is an easy beach break from Bangkok, partly because the train station is so close to the city centre.

Chaba Chalet

I arrived too early to check in so I left my bags and went for lunch. I returned and the friendly receptionist checked me in.

I booked a “Single Bed” room, and it was truly a single bed in a single bed-sized room. My room had a view out to the back of the hotel, and I could see the trains passing in the distance.

The bed was comfortable and there was a decent desk and chair set that was suitable for working. There was a good wifi connection in the room, though it came with the annoying login system that required username and password.

The room was air conditioned which was good, but the air conditioning box was located next tot he door in the stairwell, and not outside. This made the stairwell hot.

The bathroom was clean and hot a good hotwater system, but it could have used more space around the sink.

The hotel has a dining/common area in the main foyer where they serve breakfast. They have an economical Thai-style American Breakfast set for 110 THB ($3.17 USD). The hotel is close the night market as well, and there are plenty of local and western food options in this area. And because it is on the other side of the main road (not on the beach side) this area is not as touristy.

Overall this was a good budget hotel option for Hua Hin. Book the Chaba Chalet online or search for more hotels in Hua Hin.
