Guesthouse Review: Canggu Stay, Bali – Indonesia

Guesthouse Review: Canggu Stay, Bali - Indonesia

Accommodation Name: Canggu Stay
Address: Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong 8b, Canggu, Bali, Indonesia

I stayed at the Canggu Stay homestay/guesthouse in Canggu, Bali. I was specifically looking for a place on the Batu Bolong Road and this one looked good in the description as a comfortable guesthouse.

Canggu is the most furthest away beach on the developed southern beaches of Bali. It wasn’t that long ago when it was mostly rice fields, but now development has caught up to this part of the island. That is an issue for another post though, so if you are looking for a guesthouse in Canggu then read on.

First off I had some trouble finding the place as it was not on the spot where the booking sites and Google maps suggested. The numbers on the road weren’t helping either, though I eventually found it with the help of a friendly cafe. Canggu Stay is behind Rustica Pizza.

Once you get there you can’t miss it.

No one was there when I arrived so the instructions for checking in were on the kitchen table.

My room was along a row on this verandah.

Room entrance

I got a single room with a private bathroom. The room has a floor fan and ceiling fan, and the floor had lovely tiles which brightened the feel of the room.

Room

The bathroom was a good size with a decent hot water service. There was enough space to leave things and everything in the room woorked, which is surprisingly rare in cheap Indonesian guesthouses.

Bathroom

The wifi pass and room instructions were left in the room, along with directions on what is in the immediate area.

Keys

The guesthouse is in front of a little garden that is part of another villa.

Overall this was a great place to stay in Canggu, especially if you are looking for a budget room.

Book the Canggu Stay online or search for more hotels in Canggu.
