Guesthouse Review: Bonita House, Bangkok – Thailand

Guesthouse Review: Bonita House, Bangkok - Thailand

Guesthouse review of Bonita House in the Banglamphu backpacker area of Bangkok.

Hotel Name: Bonita House.
Address: 103 Samsen Samsen Rd Samphraya district, Khaosan, Bangkok, Thailand.

I stayed at Bonita House in Bangkok. I booked online at the rate of 13.95 USD per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Bangkok.

Bonita House is a guesthouse in the backpacker area of Bangkok. This is the best area to stay in Bangkok on a budget. This is the Banglamphu neighbourhood, though it is usually referred t as the Khaosan Road area, named for the main backpacker street of the area. Khaosan Road is a famous party street, but this guesthouse is tucked area in a residential area. I probably wouldn’t stay in this area if it was my first time in Bangkok, but as a repeat visitor I like this little area.

Bonita House alley

The guesthouse is down a little alley that is not accessible by car, so make sure to mark it on a map because the taxi will drop you off on the main road.

Bonita House

The guesthouse is in a stand-alone building that looks like a small apartment block. There is a common space in the reception area.

Bonita House reception

There is no elevator in the building.

I got a single room with private bathroom. The room was fan only, and the room got warm during the day. So much so that it felt cool to step out of the room. The bed was very hard as well, which seems to be a common trait with cheap guesthouses in Thailand.

Bonita House room

A minimalist desk and chair setting. There is free wifi here and I had no problem with the signal in my room.

The room has big windows so there is plenty of natural light. There are no bars in this area so it is a peaceful place to stay.

Bonita House view

The bathroom is a typical Southeast Asia-style bathroom with electric hot water system. The bathroom was in good condition.

Bonita House bathroom

There is no kitchen here but you can make hot drinks in the lobby area.

Overall this was an ok place to stay for a short trip if you are just passing through. It’s also an alternative if you want a private room instead of staying in one of the many hostels nearby.

Book the Bonita House online or search for more Bangkok hotels.
