Apartment on Sukhumvit 4 near Nana BTS, Bangkok – Thailand

Apartment Name: Nana Condo
Address: Sukhumvit 4, Bangkok, Thailand

Apartment on Sukhumvit 4 near Nana BTS, Bangkok - Thailand

After finding a great place to stay in Bangkok last year, I had another look at Airbnb for a private apartment. After short-listing a group of apartments I booked an apartment on Sukhumvit 4 near Nana BTS station. I booked it for its price and its proximity to a BTS station.

The apartment is located on Sukhumvit 4, which is one of the biggest nightlife areas in Bangkok. The street is lined with girlie bars catering to sex tourists/sexpats, so if you don’t want to be around that then you can bail out of this review now.

The apartment is near Nana Plaza, which is not your grandma’s plaza. If you are a single male you will be solicited on several times from the walk from the BTS station to the apartment.

This is a studio apartment, so the bedroom and kitchen are in the same space. Unlike the newer studio apartments I have seen this property is large for a studio. The building on the outside is a bit run down but the apartment itself looks clean and modern. The living has a couch and a king size bed.

At the other end of the room is the kitchen area and bathroom. The kitchen has a big window and it is on the seventh floor, so there is plenty of natural light. You can see the elevevated train line of the BTS from the kitchen table.

THe bathroom also has natural light and is a decent size.

On the wall facing the bed is a large wardrobe which has a safe box.

The apartment is set off the street with a car park entrance in front of the property. In my room I never heard any outside noise which surprised me, given the location. There are some lady boys who sit at the front of the car park throughout the day promoting massage services, but they didn’t bother asking about massages once they knew I was staying there. Like I said, this place is in the middle of the party zone, so if that kind of thing offends then this is not the apartment you are looking for.

If you haven’t tried Airbnb before you can get $25 credit towards your first booking. If you prefer a hotel check out hotels in Bangkok on Agoda.
