Apartment Review: Viva Sira Serviced Residence, Bangkok – Thailand

Apartment Review: Viva Sira Serviced Residence, Bangkok - Thailand

Airbnb name: Viva Sira Apartment.
Address: 19 Soi Sukhumvit 39, Wattana, Bangkok, Thailand.

I stayed at the Viva Sira Serviced Residence in Bangkok, Thailand. This particular apartment was listed on Airbnb, and I picked it for its location near Phrom Phong BTS Station. This is one of my favourite areas to stay in Bangkok, and while booking online I usually look at the map around this area.

When making a booking on Airbnb or other apartment rental services, I make sure that there is either a concierge service that can check you in, or that there is an easy system to collect the keys. I have arrived at some apartments only to have to wait until someone delivers the key. It’s also worth checking to make sure there is an after hours service if you are arriving late.

Viva Sira

In my case I was arriving in the middle of the day, and there was someone at reception to check me in. The apartment building is on Sukhumvit Soi 39 and not down a little side street, so it was easy to find.

Viva Sira Serviced Residence

My room was listed as a 30 sqm studio. The bedroom area was tucked into a nook that gave the appearance of a room, but technically this is a studio space.

The bed was comfortable and there was a big window to the side. There was also a useful bedside ledge with power outlets. There is free wifi here and I had a good connection throughout my stay.

Bedside

The studio has its own kitchenette, but as I was only in Bangkok for a few days I had no intention of self catering when there are so many good things to eat outside.

Kitchenette

The room had a spacious lounge and there is air conditioning (which was needed throughout the day). The room was modern and in good order, though there was a crack in one window and the bedroom was a bit grimy.

Lounge

The bathroom was clean and spacious with a separate walk-in shower area and enough sink space for toiletries.

In terms of location this was a great place to stay. It’s about 5 minutes walk from Phrom Phong station, which is near Benchasiri Park on Sukhumvit Road.

Overall this was a good place to stay in Bangkok. It was a nice private apartment in a convenient location.

Check for availability for this apartment, or search for other Bangkok apartments on Airbnb. Bangkok has plenty of Airbnb options, and I stayed at another good place on Sukhumvit Soi 38.
