Hotel Review: Vienna 3 Best Hotel Guangxi Nanning Station

April 7, 2026 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Vienna 3 Best Hotel Guangxi Nanning Station

Review of the Vienna 3 Best Hotel Guangxi Nanning Station, a budget hotel conveniently located near Nanning Station.

Hotel Name: Vienna 3 Best Hotel Guangxi Nanning Station.
Address: No.10 Youai Nan Road, Xixiangtang, Nanning, China.

I stayed at the Vienna 3 Best Hotel Guangxi Nanning Station in Nanning, China. I booked online at the rate of $23.29 USD per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Nanning.

The Vienna 3 Best Hotel Guangxi Nanning Station is – as the name suggests – near Nanning Railway Station. I got the train from Hanoi to Nanning, and I wanted a hotel near the station. This the central station, and not the main high-speed railway station at Nanning East. The 3 in the name is because there are other Vienna hotels in Nanning.

The Vienna 3 is a big hotel on a corner that is easy to find.

My booking was already paid, so I only had to show my passport to check in. English is not widely spoken, but the receptionist called over a staff member who could.

I arrived before midday but they were able to check me into a room before the official check in time.

I booked a “WH – Superior Bed Room”, which had two single beds together to form a queen-size bed.

The bed was comfortable and I liked that the room had big windows.

The room has a good desk to work from and there is free wifi throughout the hotel. Note that the internet is extremely restricted in China, so sites like Facebook and Gmail will not work here without a VPN. You need to plan your VPN download before you arrive in China, as the VPN sites are blocked. If your VPN is already installed and you have a subscription plan, you can access the world wide web as normal.

The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a toilet with inbuilt bidet.

The hotel is next to the regional bus station, which I had a view of from my window.

Breakfast was included in my booking, which was a basic buffet of rice and noodle dishes. No coffee!

The hotel is Vienna-themed, with paintings around the building depicting scenes from classical Vienna.

The Vienna theme is a bit cheesy, but I have come to appreciate these chaotic hotel designs in China, as they have more character than the average budget hotel.

I found this Guangxi tour map in the reception, though the tours do not cater for international visitors.

Overall this was a good place to stay in Nanning for it’s proximity to Nanning Station. There are many more hotels directly opposite the station, though the Vienna 3 is less than 10 minutes walk away. There is also a metro station next to Nanning Station, so that was convenient for seeing other parts of the city.
