Hotel Review: Royal President Hotel, Bangkok – Thailand

Hotel Name: Royal President Hotel
Address: 43 Sukhumvit 15, Sukhumvit, Bangkok, Thailand

Hotel Review: Royal President Hotel, Bangkok - Thailand

I stayed at Royal President Hotel in Bangkok. I booked online and picked it out for it’s location on Sukhumvit Rd, which is one of my preferred places to stay in Bangkok. The Royal President is a 4-star hotel and quite often there are good deals to be found in Bangkok as there are so many hotels to choose from.

The hotel looks a bit old from the outside but it is well-kept on the inside. I got a double room which was spacious, and the bed was nice and comfortable.

Royal President Bed

A big work desk and enough room for some lounge chairs.

The bathroom had a walk-in shower and separate bathtub and was in clean and orderly condition.

Bathroom

The usual tea and coffee making facilities in the cabinet. The furnishing felt like it was also as old as the hotel looked, but everything was well maintained and in good order. Keeping on top of maintenance is the key to the longevity of these older hotels (older compared to the shiny new ones that are popping up everywhere).

Tea and coffee

Two free water bottles per day, and no trick water bottles (i.e. water battles that cost $10).

Water

There is a swimming pool and fitness centre on the ground floor, and the pool is wedged between two of the buildings.

I opted for breakfast when I booked online, which is not something I usually do in Bangkok.

The wifi was good throughout the building. I was given two passwords for two different devices whcih stayed active until I left. The wifi worked throughout the building without having to login again.

There is a shuttle service if you prefer not to walk down to Sukhumvit Rd, though the hotel is about as far down Soi 15 that is comfortable to walk. I always check to see how far hotels are down the street as some are too far down to walk.

Overall this was a good place to stay. With so many hotels in Bangkok I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here, but it’s a good option if you find a hot deal on Agoda.

Book the Royal President Hotel online or search for more hotels in Bangkok.
