Apartment Review: Petkovic Apartmani 1, Tivat – Montenegro

Apartment Review: Petkovic Apartmani 1, Tivat - Montenegro

Hotel Name: Petkovic Apartmani 1.
Address: Gornji Kalimanj II br23, Tivat, Montenegro.

I stayed at Petkovic Apartmani 1 in Tivat, Montenegro. I booked online at the rate of €13.30 per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Tivat.

I used Tivat as a base to travel around the Bay of Kotor, so I wasn’t too fussed about staying in the centre of Tivat. It’s a small town, so there didn’t seem to be a particularly advantageous area to stay. The Petkovic Apartmani 1 is in the suburbs but still close enough to the waterfront. I had trouble finding it initially as the streets aren’t well marked and it wasn’t showing on Google properly.

I found it eventually and I was very happy with what I found. My apartment rental was a stand-alone building next to the owner’s house. This might be called a Granny Flat in some countries – a small self-contained building next to the main house.

Hexagon apartment

What made the building even more fun was that it was hexagonal shaped. Inside the hexagon was a studio apartment set up, with two single beds, a couch, and a table setting in the middle. It felt cozy being in this room.

There was also a tv and cupboard in the room. The room had windows on most sides, so it was bright and sunny inside. I wondered what the room would look like with a double bed and different furniture arrangement (if it was my place).

Apartment TV

The hexagon had a little addition at the end for the bathroom and kitchen.

I didn’t use the kitchen, but it was nice to know it was there.

The bathroom was a bit tiny but other than that it was clean and had a good hot water system.

Bathroom

It was cold and drizzly when I was here, otherwise, I would have made the most of the outdoor seating.

Outdoors area

There is free wifi here, and the signal box was in my room so there was no problem with the reception.

Overall this was a great place to stay in Tivat, and I enjoyed staying in such an unusual building.

Book the Petkovic Apartmani 1 online, or search for more hotels in Tivat.

And here is my trip report for Tivat and coastal Montenegro.
