Apartment Review: Nine Plus Loft, Bangkok (Phra Khanong area of Sukhumvit Road)

December 24, 2021 By James Clark

Apartment Review: Nine Plus Loft, Bangkok - Thailand

Hotel Name: Nine Plus Loft.
Address: 44/32, Sukhumvit 46, Phra Khanong, Bangkok, Thailand.

I stayed at the Nine Plus Loft in Bangkok. I booked online at the rate of 470 THB ($13.95 USD) per night, and I booked it for its price and location in Bangkok.

Nine Plus Loft is located in an alley off Sukhumvit 46. This is opposite the Phra Khanong BTS Station, so it’s a convenient area to stay in Bangkok.

Sukhumvit 46

If you see a slash number in a Sukhumvit address, then it usually means that it’s in an alley and off another alley. I had saved the address on my map but I still managed to walk down the wrong alley. Anyway, once I found the address it was obvious that that was the alley I should have gone down.

Alley to Nine Plus Loft

Nine Plus Loft offers apartment-style accommodation, and the property is a small apartment building in a residential cul-de-sac. It’s just a few minutes walk from Sukhumvit Road, but it felt more like the suburbs in this street.

Nine Plus Loft

Being an apartment rental, I was wondering what the check-in procedure would be like.

Nine Plus Loft entrance

There was no one there when I arrived so I had to send a message to get someone to come over let let me in.

Reception

I booked a Deluxe Queen room (referring to the bed size) with a window view.

Bed

The bed was comfortable and the room was in good condition. The room included air conditioning (required). I had good wifi reception in my room.

Room

Free drinking water, and instant coffee to be administered in case of caffeine deficiency only.

Water and kettle

The bathroom was in good condition, but I don’t like these showers with the plastic floor and small cubicle space.

Bathroom

The room has a little balcony with seating area overlooking the neighbours.

Balcony

This was the first time I’ve stayed in the Phra Khanong area. which is one stop further from Ekkamai. This area is becoming more interesting as Upper Sukhumvit gets more expensive. And being so close to the BTS means you are not far from any part of the Sukhumvit Road action.

The apartment has a washine machine, so that was convenient as serviced washing on Sukhumvit Road is the most expensive in Thailand.

Overall this was a good place to stay for a cheap room off Sukhumvit road. Note that this isn’t an apartment rental with all amenities (in case you are someone who prefers to cook in this great food city).

Book the Nine Plus Loft online or search for more Bangkok hotels.
