Hotel Review: Nantra Sukhumvit 39 Hotel, Bangkok – Thailand

November 20, 2015 By James Clark

Hotel Name: Nantra Sukhumvit 39 Hotel
Address: 1/46 – 49 Sukhumvit 39 (Prompong), Bangkok, Thailand

Nantra Sukhumvit 39 Hotel, Bangkok - Thailand

I stayed at the Nantra Sukhumvit 39 Hotel in Bangkok. I booked online and paid 36.51 USD for 2 nights. That’s 18.25 a night for a hotel room in central Bangkok. Not bad!

I picked the hotel for its price and location near Phrom Phong BTS station. I needed to be near this area on this trip so it made picking an area to stay easier than usual. (See my guide for picking where to stay in Bangkok.)

I have stayed at a Nantra property before, one stop down the BTS line at Thonglor so I knew what to expect.

I booked a double room without a window. I try not to book windowless rooms anymore, but I made an exception for this booking as the location was more important to me. Sometimes windowless rooms are really grim, but this one was ok. The room had an opaque window by the door that at least let light in and diffused the feeling of being in a coffin.

The bed was super comfortable and the room had a good amount of space.

Bedroom

Despite the bathroom not having any kind of window it was clean and didn’t smell.

Bathroom

There is a breakfast service, which was included in the price of the room. It is a simple offer of toast and cereal, fruits, orange-flavoured beverage (I wouldn’t call it orange juice), and coffee.

Breakfast

The internet is available throughout the hotel and I didn’t have any problems connecting in my room.

Book the Nantra Sukhumvit 39 Hotel online, or search for more hotels in Bangkok.
