Hotel Review: Hotel Zing, Phnom Penh – Cambodia

December 31, 2017 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Hotel Zing, Phnom Penh - Cambodia

Guesthouse Name: Hotel Zing Phnom Penh
Address: 105 – 107 Street 126, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

I stayed at the Hotel Zing in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I booked the hotel for its location, which happens to be about a five minute walk from the train station. I got the morning train to Sihanoukville, so it was handy to be nearby. It’s also near the historic Central Market which is an interesting area to explore. I got a Standard Double room for $20.30 USD per night.

Zing is a budget hotel that also has hotels in Thailand. The hotel is in an older building that has been recently refurbished.

Hotel Zing

The room was bright and spacious, and I liked the uncluttered feeling of the white minimalist furniture. The purple is the signature colour brand of the hotel, which is similar to the style of the orange of easyHotels and red of Tunehotels.

Room

The bed was comfortable and it had useful lighting and power outlets next to the bed.

Bed

Tea and coffee making facilities are provided, along with free water.

Drinks

The bathroom – like the bedroom – was also clean and minimal, and there was a good hot water service.

Bathroom

There is a lounge downstairs and a little cafe area which serves as the breakfast room. I left before breakfast so I didn’t try it.

Lounge

There is free wifi which is available throughout the property. I didn’t have any problems with the connection.

Hotel area

Overall this was a good budget hotel to stay at in Phnom Penh. If you are getting the early morning train to Sihanoukville then this is an ideal place to stay.

Book the Hotel Zing online or search for more hotels in Phnom Penh. If you’re unfamiliar with Phnom Penh then read my guide on where to stay in Phnom Penh for first-time-visitors.
