Hotel Review: Hotel Ikhlas, Ende, Flores – Indonesia

Hotel Review: Hotel Ikhlas, Ende, Flores - Indonesia

Hotel Name: Hotel Ikhlas
Address: Jalan Ahmad Yani, Ende, Flores, Indonesia.

I stayed at Hotel Ikhlas in Ende, Flores. I walked in off the street and there was a double room with fan and private bathroom available at 100,000 IDR (8.25 USD).

My room was run-down but nothing out of the ordinary for a budget guesthouse in Flores. The bathroom had a mandi tank which is common in Indonesia. The tank is filled with water and you use the scoop to flush the toilet as well as to have a “shower”.

The common area feels like a hostel with lots of tables and information about bus and ferry travel pinned to the walls. There is wifi here but it didn’t reach my room so I made use of the common area.

The airport in Ende is right in town. It’s a small airport that handles prop planes and the airport is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. I was staying on the first floor (or second floor in the US) and I could see the airport from my balcony, as you can see by this plane tail cruising by.

At the time of my visit there was no website for the hotel. To find more hotels in Ende visit Agoda for hotels in Ende.

If you are visiting Flores here is my recommended 1 week itinerary.
