Hotel Name: Hotel Carlemany
Address: Placa Miquel Santalo i Pavor, 1, Girona, Spain
Girona is about 100 km to the northeast of Barcelona. The first time I heard of Girona was when Ryanair started advertising flights from London to Barcelona, with small text saying Girona Airport. This was a typical tactic used by low-cost airlines at the time to use a far-flung airport to serve a big city. The shameful part of this is that Girana is a destination unto itself. I was amazed to arrive at the Girona old town to find a fascinating city worthy of its own airport (Girona–Costa Brava Airport).
The Hotel Carlemany is a 4-star hotel ideally located between the train station and the old town, being about 5 minutes to either. The hotel makes up two sides of a plaza and has a light tower standing out the front as a landmark. You can’t miss it.
My room was spacious with a soft and comfortable mattress.
ON the table was some welcome fruits, and the desk was a useful working size.
The bathroom was spacious with enough room to put your toiletries out around the bathroom sink.
My breakfast was included which included cereals, fruits, and a good selection of hams and cheeses (naturally, being in Spain). Overall this is a great 4* option for stays in Girona.
I stayed at the Hotel Carlemany in Girona, Spain. I was a guest of the hotel, which was arranged by Visit Costa Brava.
