Hotel Review: Hotel Bestari, Kuala Lipis – Malaysia

April 9, 2019 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Hotel Bestari, Kuala Lipis - Malaysia

Hotel Name: Hotel Bestari
Address: 42 & 43, Lorong BBKL 2/2/1, Kuala Lipis, Malaysia.

I stayed at the Hotel Bestari in Kuala Lipis, Malaysia. I booked it for its price and location in Kuala Lipis. The rate was 70 MYR ($16.93 USD) per night.

Kuala Lipis is a small city (it’s known as Little KL) so most of the places I found seemed to be reasonably located. There is an old town area near the train station, but I went with Hotel Bestari which is in the new town on the other side of the river. It’s about 10 minutes walk from the train station. Once you cross the bridge there is a little shortcut up a hill that will save you walking around via the road.

The hotel is on a corner and in good condition (better than the budget hotels in the old town).

I got a twin room with private bathroom, and the room felt fresh and modern.

Bed

The bed was soft and comfortable, and the bedside table had power outlets in usable locations. There is free wifi at the hotel, and I got a good signal with no connectivity issues in my room.

Room

The bathroom was also clean and fresh with a good hot water service. The sink didn’t have enough space to place toiletries, which seems to be a common problem in budget hotels.

Bathroom

There is a free breakfast service of white bread toast and noodles.

Breakfast

One thing that was annoying (that wasn’t the hotels fault) was the neighbouring bird nest farm. These farms use a recorded bird chirping sound to attract birds, and they are becoming increasingly common in abandoned buildings all along the east coast of Peninsula

While the hotel isn’t as convenient for the train station, it is close to the bus station, so that was convenient to be a 5 minute walk away from my next bus.

Overall this was a good place to stay in Kuala Lipis. If you are looking for a clean and comfortable budget hotel in little KL, then check out Hotel Bestari. Book the Hotel Bestari online or search for more hotels in Kuala Lipis.
