Hotel Review: Hotel Al Jafs – Kuala Lumpur

May 18, 2017 By James Clark

Hotel Al Jafs - Kuala Lumpur

Guesthouse Name: Hotel Al Jafs
Address: 17-19 Jalan Bedara, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

I stayed at the Hotel Al Jafs in Kuala Lumpur. The hotel is in the Bukit Bintang area, which is one of the most popular places to stay in Kuala Lumpur. Bukit Bintang is the name of the street, and it is lined with shops and hotels. At the time of my visit it was messy with metro construction work, but it will soon have a shiny new metro, making it even easier to get to.

If you’re thinking that Al Jafs doesn’t sound very Malaysian, that’s because this hotel is in the Little Arabia area of Bukit Bintang. The hotel is in one of the quieter back streets of the area, about 5 minutes walk from the Bukit Bintang monorail station.

Hotel Al Jafs

The Al Jafs is a budget hotel, of which there are many of this type in this area. There was a friendly man at reception who checked me in, and the property has a lift.

Bed

I got a single room with a private bathroom. The room was spacious for its type and came with air conditioning.

Desk

The bathroom was a standard wet room with shower/toilet. There was no window but it was kept clean and there was no issues with the water.

Bathroom

There is a basic breakfast service in the foyer of toast, fruit, and coffee. It’s the standard budget Malaysian hotel breakfast, which I usually skip in favour of eating Indian breakfasts whenever I am in KL.

The one drawback of my stay was that the internet was not working. Maybe it was just during my stay, but I had problems connecting for my entire stay. Overall this was a decent budget hotel stay (apart from the wifi situation).

Book the Hotel Al Jafs online or search for more hotels in Kuala Lumpur.
