Hotel review of the Haising Hotel in Singapore, a budget hotel in the Little India area.
Hotel Name: Haising Hotel.
Address: 37 Jalan Besar, Little India, Singapore.
I stayed at the Haising Hotel in Singapore. I booked online at the rate of 60.50 SGD ($44.32 USD) per night, and I booked it for its location and price in Singapore.
The Haising Hotel is on the edge of the Little India area, near Jalan Besar MRT. It’s also an easy walk to the Bugis MRT. This is one of my preferred areas to stay in Singapore due to its proximity to transport and amenities.

Haising Hotel is a budget hotel, and this was one of the cheapest private rooms I could find in Central Singapore. You can find cheaper rooms in the Geylang area, but this is a better area for walking.
I arrived before checking in time and there was a notice saying when the receptionist will be back. I left my bag and came back later.
After checking I went up to my room (no lift here). I got a single room, and on the booking site it looked like a small room. I was prepared to be in a broom closet (especially at this rate for a Singapore hotel), but the room was enough for a single bed and room to unpack a bag.
The bed was comfortable and the room was air-conditioned. There was a little window on the side that faced the hallway (a windwo for light only). There is free wifi, and I had a good reception in my room.
The bathroom was also tiny, but it was kept in good order.
I always wonder why hotels don’t use these power outlets that can take most international plugs.
There is a kitchen and common room area behind the reception. The kitchen has a water fountain, though you can drink from the tap in Singapore. There is no need for bottled water in Singapore hotels, so good on them for not providing water in plastic bottles (I presume they were doing to save money than being environmentally friendly).
The back of the buildings has the spiral stairs that are common in the old buildings of Singapore.
Overall this was a good budget room in Singapore. You can find cheaper beds in this area if you don’t mind sleeping in a capsule, but I prefer being in a room (even if it’s tiny).
