Hotel Review: Eddys Cottages & Villa, Legian, Bali – Indonesia

November 4, 2019 By James Clark

Hotel Review: Eddys Cottages & Villa, Legian, Bali - Indonesia

Hotel Name: Eddys Cottages
Address: Jl. Arjuna – Double Six, Gang Eddys, Legian, Bali, Indonesia

I stayed at Eddys Cottages in Legian, Bali. I booked online for the amazing rate of $15.66 USD per night. I just happened to find a good deal for the days I was staying at, but you can often find good deals here as there are so many accommodation options in Bali.

Jalan Arjuna (also known as Double Six Road) is the road that demarcates Legian and Seminyak. Eddys is off Double Six down an alleyway so it’s away from the main road noise. I also booked it because it’s within a 10 minute walk to the beach.

Alley to Eddys Cottage

At the back of the alley is a bunch of other private houses and villas.

Entrance

The cottages and villas (I’m not sure which was which) are built around a feature pool in a lovely garden setting.

Eddys Cottages & Villa

At the entrance to the room is a little kitchenette area and table set. I guess this technically makes it a villa if you can self cater, but it still felt more like a hotel.

Room entrance

My room was modern and spacious, with big windows facing the pool area.

Room

The bed was comfortable and it had power outlets in convenient locations. There is free wifi here, and I had no problem with the connection.

Bed

The bathroom was clean and spacious, with a big walk-in shower area, and plenty of room to place toiletries near the sink.

Bathroom

In the garden there are sun lounges by the pool.

Pool

Even if you are spending more time at the beach than by the pool, just the existence of this body of water surrounded by a garden is enough to make you feel happy.

Pool garden

There is no breakfast service here (it’s self-catering after all) so I went to the nearby Sacred Ground, which is one of my favourite cafes in Bali.

Overall this was a great place to stay in the Legian/Seminyak area of Bali. It’s close enough to the beach and off the main road, and the rooms were modern and comfortable.

Book Eddys Cottages online or search for more hotels in Legian.
