Hotel Review: E-House, Taipei – Taiwan

June 24, 2019 By James Clark

Hotel Review: E-House, Taipei - Taiwan

Hostel Name: E-House
Address: 3F., No.155, Xining S. Rd., Ximending, Taipei, Taiwan.

I stayed at the E-House in Taipei. I booked it for its location in the Ximen area, which is a lively shopping and entertainment area. It’s also within a reasonable walking distance to the main train station for the airport rail (or one metro stop away).

The hotel itself is on a main street but it is a bit tricky to find. Looking at the building from the street it looks like it is part office building, and part shopping centre. There is no ground-level reception so you have to look for the sign. It’s up a narrow staircase and then there is a lift to the hotel next to a hotpot restaurant.

The reception is on the third floor, and then my room was on the four floor, accessed by security cards.

E-House

I got a twin room with a private bathroom. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The big windows allowed ample light, yet it wasn’t noisy considering it was facing a main street.

Room

The bathroom was spacious and simple with a good hot water service and space for toiletries.

Bathroom

The hotel has free wifi and I had no problem with the connection during my stay.

There is another E-House Hotel around the corner on Kunming St, so make sure you are going to the right one. There is a breakfast service at the E-House, and the options include either going to the other E-House, or getting a breakfast voucher for a nearby KFC. That is the first time I’ve been offered KFC for breakfast. I went with the hotel buffet.

Breakfast

Overall it wasn’t especially remarkable but was a good place to stay in Taipei, especially for the location. Book the E-House online or search for more hotels in Taipei.
